Design into Action Fund

As part of the DiA initiative, LKI has partnered with Louisiana State University in the development of a flexible fund, created to support their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion activities within the School of Interior Design. These activities vary from providing assistance for required supplies and access to extracurricular events to supporting guest speakers and instructors on the topics of diversity in design and community outreach.

Through conversations with the LSU staff and leaders, a flexible fund was agreed upon as the most beneficial way to distribute funds for immediate assistance to students in a variety of circumstances. Having the right tools, access to travel, and student events can make a real difference in the overall experience of a student. Supporting community outreach and diversity initiatives within the School of Interior Design provides a direct channel to existing and potential students.
