As part of the DiA initiative, LKI has partnered with Louisiana State University in the development of a flexible fund, created to support their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion activities within the School of Interior Design.

Design into Action Fund

Design Into Action aims to support and mentor Louisiana students from historically underrepresented demographics in the field of interior design. Through education, internships, and university program funding, DiA seeks to improve our local interior design community by becoming more inclusive and diverse.

Logan Killen Interiors has created Design Into Action as a platform for established interior designers in Louisiana to offer monetary assistance and to act as a community reference guide for internship and mentorship opportunities for undergraduate level ID students. We hope to soon include programs and events to inspire high school students to consider our wonderful field as a career.

Clearing the path for diversity within the interior design community means opening doors and breaking down barriers. We plan to support underrepresented students’ search for impactful internship opportunities by creating a network of interior designers in and around Louisiana who support the DiA mission.
